When cold and chaos plunged the Singing Plains into doom, the last herd began its journey across the frozen sea to Azuhl. In the previous centuries the Ytuma lived with their huge herds in the untouched nature of the Plains. During spring and summer they moved to the sunny pastures and spent months there to celebrate the birth of their newborns.
As soon as the grasses of the Singing Plains began to turn red, the individual herds began their journey south, where they were eagerly awaited by traders and cattle drovers from all over the world in the towns of The Empire. The animals selected by the Herdmasters and Shepherds were sacrificed, and fur and meat were sold to the inhabitants of the Drakorea.
When the Curse transformed the Singing Plains into a horrifying reflection of its former beauty and slew most of the Ytuma and their herds, the survivors gathered to form “The Last Herd” and fled south across the frozen sea until, after weeks, they finally reached the islands of Azuhl.
